Proline is a non-essential amino acid, as it can be synthesized from glutamic acid, so it is not required to be obtained from dietary sources.
Proline improves skin texture by aiding in the production of collagen and reduces the loss of collagen through the aging process. Proline works with vitamin C to promote healthy connective tissue.
