This is an excellent natural sweet chilli sauce, which can be used as a dipping sauce or as a sauce over a variety of dishes.
- 6 large fresh chillies, finely chopped
- Juice of 2-3 limes
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 Tspn honey (amount can be adjusted to taste)
Combine all ingredients (except the salt) in a mortar and pestle and grind until they are all smoothly combined - alternatively they can be added to a food processor until smooth.
Season with the salt to taste.
Organic ingredients should be used, as they tend to have more flavour, more nutrients and less of the nasty chemical residues.Advertisement
